be as threatening as melanoma but can still lead to serious damage and if left
untreated, can lead to death. This is the most common skin cancer which is
slow-growing and does not usually spread out or metastasizes to other body parts. They may

Coffee Reduces Skin Cancer
Published in the journal Cancer Research, a study
demonstrates how drinking caffeinated coffee could possibly lower the risk to
this common cancer type. For about 20 years, the study involved 112 000
patients of which about ¼ developed skin cancer. The researchers found out that
there is reduced risk to carcinoma among people who drink more than two cups of
coffee every day.
Caffeine seems to play a major factor as chocolate, tea and cola
appear to lower risks to skin cancer too. However, scientists note that further
studies has to be done to provide solid proof and understanding on how caffeine
can cut the risks of getting skin cancer, diabetes and Parkinson’s disease.
